UMMC - leader in copper pipes market

Metal-Expo’2011, 17th International Industrial Exhibition held on 15-18 November in Moscow, became this year’s summarizing point in the Russian steel industry. UMMC is the event’s regular exhibitor.

This year, during the four days of the exhibition UMMC’s stand was attended by approximately 800 people representing over 600 companies. Meetings were held with representatives of well-known European, Russian and CIS companies. During these meetings the results of partnership with clients in 2011 were summed up and plans for 2012 were discussed. Furthermore, the company introduced new and promising directions of development of the product line.

“The results of the exhibition are uniquely positive. Visitors attendance and praises of our stand, once again proved the absolute leadership of the company in the non-ferrous market. The plans for next year include strengthening the positions and further improving products quality”, noted Alexei Sherbakov, Director of Sales and Marketing UMMC.

The results of the ten month 2011 show that UMMC kept its leading position in the copper pipes market, increasing deliveries volume to 47%. On the copper water pipes market UMMC was rated among the top four producers, increasing the supply of these products in the Russian market three times bypassing the leading European manufacturers.

Customers and visitors of the stand had an opportunity to see the new roofing tape, produced by The Kirovsky Plant, as well as to evaluate the significant improvement in the quality of copper bars, produced by Kolchugtsvetmet. Due to the improved quality during 2011, the company was able to increase the supply of these products in the Russian market by 63%.
