Russia is to return to the lithium market
A Moscow-based RM-Capital company signed an investment agreement with the administration of Krasnokamensk town, Zabaikalsk region about the building of a complex for the lithium production in 2016-2018.

It is expected that it will be used dumps that have accumulated during the exploration of Zavitinsk deposit which was a single source for lithium in Soviet Union. However, it has stopped in the 1990s.

Meanwhile, the number of waste reached approximately 20 million tons, and they occupy an area of 350 hectares. At the same time the concentration of lithium in the dumps lead to the conclusion about the possibility of its industrial extraction.

RM-Capital plans to use a new technology for the processing of the dumps in lithium carbonate with further opportunitis of any lithium compounds output, or a pure metal.
