Vadim Germanov appointed CEO of Severstal’s Russian Steel division
Severstal has announced the appointment of Vadim Germanov as CEO of Severstal’s Russian Steel division and Cherepovets Steel Mill, effective as of June, 1. Vadim Germanov was previously Repair and Maintenance Director of Severstal’s Russian Steel division.

Vadim Larin, CEO of Severstal Management, said: "During his work of over 25 years at Cherepovets Steel Mill, Vadim Germanov has become highly-regarded for his professionalism and management approach. I am convinced that in his new role as CEO of Severstal’s Russian Steel division Vadim will ensure the continued successful development of the division through enhancing efficiency, customer care and corporate culture."

Vadim Germanov born in 1966. In 1990 Vadim graduated from the Vologda Polytechnical Institute with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and in 2000 he received a degree in Management from Saint Petersburg State Technical University. In 1990 he started his career at Severstal as a maintenance supervisor in the Coke and By-Product Plant. In 1997 he was appointed the Head of the Coke Plant, Coke Batteries 5 and 6. In 2000 he became the Deputy Maintenance Manager in the Coke and By-Product Plant. In 2007 Vadim Germanov was transferred to the Production Directorate, where he successfully supervised the activities of maintenance companies in his position as Deputy Director. Since November 2011 he has been working as the General Director of Severstal Promservice. On November 1, 2013 he was appointed the Repair and Maintenance Director of Severstal’s Russian Steel division.
