Primary aluminum production declined by 0.7% year to year in February

Primary aluminum production in Russia decreased by 0.7% in February 2025 compared to February 2024.

January-February 2025 period, aluminum production rose by 1.7% year to year, compared to the same period last year.

The output of aluminum structures and structural components amounted to 15.1 thousand tons in February 2025. This marked a 3.9% decline compared to February 2024 but a 29.3% increase compared to January 2025. In the first two months of 2025, production of such structures totaled 26.9 thousand tons, down 5.8% year to year.

Meanwhile, production of unprocessed, semi-processed, or powdered gold surged by 9.1% year to year in February 2025, according to the Federal State Statistics Service. Compared to January 2025, gold output jumped by 69.1%. Over the January-February 2025 period, gold production increased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year.
