Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund: Global сompanies are lining up to return to Russia
Kirill Dmitriev, Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF): Global companies are queuing up to return to the Russian market.
"Global companies are lining up to return to Russia, which reflects restored confidence and new opportunities in one of the world’s largest markets," he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), commenting on reports that major South Korean businesses are exploring a return to Russia.
As previously reported by “The Korea Times”, major South Korean corporations, including Hyundai Motor, LG Electronics, and Samsung Electronics, are considering re-entering the Russian market if the conflict in Ukraine is resolved and anti-Russian sanctions are lifted. The newspaper notes that Russia is a key market with a strong preference for Korean goods and serves as a hub connecting Central Asia and Europe.
