EVRAZ STEEL: How to increase sales volumes of steel structures in the EAEU market

At the end of last year, the new international GOST 35087 standard for hot-rolled I-beam came into force. It replaced the GOST R 57837–2017 standard, which was limited to the Russian jurisdiction. This creates additional opportunities for supplying Russian steel structures to EAEU countries and will allow Russian steel structure manufacturers to ramp up production volumes, according to Dmitry Pukhnarevich, Head of Project Sales Directorate at EVRAZ STEEL.

"The new international GOST has freed our partners in EAEU countries from paperwork. They now clearly understand what they are purchasing," says Dmitry.

He also notes that the expansion of dual certification practices, which EVRAZ enterprises adopted over a year ago, is further strengthening the position of Russian companies in the steel construction market across CIS countries.
