In October –November 2007 Russia Increased Production of Refined Copper 13.9%
Rosstat, Federal State Statistics Service has announced November 2007 refined copper production results in Russia showing output up 113,9% compared to October 2007. 11 months (January-November 2007) refined copper production results almost have not changed compared to the same period of 2006 showing 99.9%. Copper rolled products output grew 6.3% compared to October, yet the 11 months production results show 1.7% decrease.

Although alumina output decreased slightly compared to October (96.2), yet January-November output results show 3.3% up. 11 months primary aluminium (including silumin) output results in Russia show 105.7% increase compared to the same period of 2006, aluminium rolled products — 93.3%; lead (secondary lead inclusive) — 123.1%; zinc — 107.2%; bronze rolled products — 111.9%; brass rolled products — 97.1%; nickel — 97.1%; cobalt — 76.2%; metallic molybdenum – 62.5%; metallic tungsten — 77.4%; tin (secondary tin inclusive) — 77.8%; sponge titanium — 105.8%; magnesium and magnesium alloys — 91.6%; titanium rolled products — 112.8%.

Raw materials output in January—November 2007 show the following results: bauxites output decreased 5.9%; copper concentrate — 11.4% up; nickel ore — 4.7% up; lead concentrate — 42.6% up; zinc concentrate — 2.5% decrease.
