Daniel Harris appointed President of Stratcor
Evraz Group ("Evraz") announced an appointment of Mr. Daniel C. Harris as President of Strategic Minerals Corporation (Stratcor), Evraz’s vanadium subsidiary operating in the US and South Africa.
Following the retirement of the current Stratcor President Hein Enslin, Daniel Harris will combine his current responsibilities as Evraz’s Vice President Vanadium with the role of President of Stratcor.
Daniel Harris graduated from University of Nevada, Mackey School of Mines with a degree in Chemical Engineering and has a 32-years experience in vanadium business. He joined Evraz in 2007 following the acquisition of Stratcor. Prior to the appointment as Vice President of Evraz he held several management positions in his 16 years at the Stratcor’s Hot Springs, Arkansas plant, starting in 1981. He subsequently became Managing Director of Vametco, Stratcor’s subsidiary in South Africa and Vice President in charge of finances and operations at Strategic Minerals in the United States.
