New mini mill to be built in Novgorod region

Cement Company plans to build a mini mill in Novgorod region. According to Andrey Blinckov,  the Company's Director General, investments in this project will reach 5 billion roubles. 70% of investments will be covered by bank credits, the rest by shareholders. The project should pass state appraisal in the near future.

The capacity of the new mini mill will reach 250 k tons of rebar steels for the construction industry. It will operate in one technological chain with cement plant which will be constructed in the neighbourhood.

«The project of mini mill in Novgorod region is a part of trend of metallurgical works creation in various regions of the Russia. The basic quantity of the announced projects is necessary on the center of Russia, but in long-term prospect rather real can be and occurrence mini mills in Siberia», - Leonid Khazanov, the observer of Metal Supply and Sale Magazine, said.
