Mechel reports resumption of work at earlier suspended facilities at New-Olzherassk Mine

Mechel, one of the leading Russian mining and metals companies, reports that work at several facilities at New-Olzherassk mine was resumed fully after a temporary suspension.

Administrative suspension of work at several facilities at New-Olzherassk mine was lifted today ahead of schedule by order of the Mezhdurechensk city court as all grounds for the suspension have been eliminated.

As of now, production at New-Olzherassk mine is fully resumed, and it is operating as normal.

Mechel is one of the leading Russian companies. Its business includes four segments: mining, steel, ferroalloy and power. Mechel unites producers of coal, iron ore concentrate, nickel, ferrochrome, ferrosilicon, steel, rolled products, hardware, heat and electric power.
