First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government visits metallurgical enterprises in Volgograd Region

Denis Manturov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, made a working trip to the Volgograd Region. Accompanied by the Region’s Governor Andrey Bocharov and the Head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov, he visited several industrial enterprises in the area, according to the press service of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers.

During the trip, Denis Manturov and Andrey Bocharov discussed the implementation of key investment projects, particularly the new production facility for flat-rolled stainless steel products being established by Russian Stainless Steel Company. Manturov noted that the facility is scheduled to launch by the end of this year.

The First Vice Prime Minister also toured Krasny Oktyabr Corporation, which produces metal products for the automotive, oil and gas extraction, chemical, and other industries.

Additionally, Mr. Manturov visited the Volzhsky Pipe Plant (part of TMK), a producer of in-demand products for the oil and gas sector, chemical industry, and other industrial fields. The workshop he visited started operating in 1990, underwent modernization, and now specializes in producing high-tech hot-rolled pipes.

Representatives of Russian Stainless Company, Red October, and TMK will participate in the 11th Stainless Steel and Russian Market International conference, to be held on April 10–11, 2025, in Saint Petersburg. The conference will also host a meeting of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Coordination Council on Metallurgy, titled “Development of stainless steel production in the Russian Federation”. Attendees will include leaders of enterprises and organizations invited by the Ministry.
