ITER delegation visits Izhorskie Zavody

Izhorskie Zavody, part of OMZ Group, hosted a delegation of ITER International Organization (ITER - a project of International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) and Federal State Unitary Enterprise D.E. Efremov Scientific Research Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus (NIIEFA).

During the visit, delegation members learned about the experience of Izhorskie Zavody in production of equipment for nuclear power plants and manufacturing facilities of the enterprise. The guests appreciated the opportunities of Izhorskie Zavody as a potential manufacturer of ITER’s upper nozzle vacuum chamber, and expressed confidence in the readiness of companies to work for RCC-MR Code in accordance with French atomic energy norms, PED Directive and EN standards.

During the talks, representatives of international organization ITER and NIIEFA noted the importance of technical re-equipment of production facilities, held by the company and Izhorskie Zavody’s experience in ASME.
