OMZ-Spetsstal completes production of hydroturbine shafts for Sayano-Shushenskaya Hydro Power Plant

OMZ Spetsstal, part of OMZ Group, has completed the production of hydraulic turbine shafts for Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP. The last shaft was delivered to OJSC Silovye mashiny. This shaft is made from an ingot weighing 360 tons. Product length is more than 9 meters and about 3 meters in diameter.

The first three shafts were manufactured and shipped to the company in 2009 - 2011. Given the latest shipment, total weight of the equipment supplied is 417.3 tons.

Production of equipment for energy facilities remains one of the core businesses for OMZ Spetsstal. All products shipped are manufactured in Izhora with traditional high quality.
