OMZ-Special Steels upgrades its 6000 ton-force utomatic forging plant
OMZ-Special Steels, part of OMZ Group, launched upgrade of its 6000 ton-force automatic forging plant AKK 6000 ts.
Modernization of the AKK 6000 ts will be made in complex with major overhaul of all components and systems equipment. The combination of modernization and overhaul to avoid long periods of inactivity. The modernization includes improvement of the hydraulic system and the system of platform moving. In addition, it will be possible to carry out visual inspection of the work of equipment in general from the operator’s desk.
Modernization of the forging plant will increase the productivity of the forging complex by reducing time of forging, strict observance of the required parameters of the geometry, size and technology in manufacture of forgings, reduction of allowances and cutting downtime in platform moving.
The upgrade is held by CJSC Stroytrest N35 Izhorstroy, LLC Prokatmontazh and LLC ESMA contractors. Supervision will be held by LLC Uralmash-Engineering.
The modernization will cost more than 85 million roubles. The works will be completed in June 2012.
