Izhora Pipe Mill achieves European Accreditation

The Izhora Pipe Mill, part of Severstal, one of the world’s leading steel and steel-related mining companies, has received certification allowing it to supply pipes to the European market, which would include the South Stream pipe line system’s on-land sections.

The Izhora Pipe Mill, located in St. Petersburg, met all the necessary standards for certification according to directives 97/23/EC and regulations (EU) №305/2011. Furthermore, all of the plant’s welders and welding processes were certified according to the EN 287−1:2011 standard.
