The RAEX rating agency has published the ESG ranking, based on data analysis of 144 companies for the end of 2024. Nornickel has become the leader of mining and metallurgical industries.

ESG-ranking assesses an efficiency of implementation and adherence to green practices development.

Leader in the environmentally friendly practices

Nornickel earned 81,5 points (the industry average is — 59,25, upon ranking— 33,52). Leading positions have provided:

Efficient management of environmental risks;

Responsible water management;

Biodiversity conservation programs are fully meeting the requirements of RAEX.

Social responsibility

Nornickel is also one of the leaders in social category — 80,76 points (the industry average is — 67,04, upon ranking — 48,81). Key achievements:

Respect for human rights;

Active cooperation with locals. In 2023 the company applied funds in amount of almost 3 billion rubles to support the indigenous peoples.
