New Casing Finishing Line Commissioned at Volzhsky Pipe Plant

TMK announces today that a new 200,000 tpa finishing line for casing pipes was successfully commissioned at its Volzhsky Pipe Plant.  

The installation of the new finishing line is part of TMK’s Strategic Investment Programme, running up to 2012. Volzhsky Pipe Plant’s seamless facilities will be upgraded with the installation of a new 340,000 tpa heat treatment line and a production line with integrated phosphatising for casing couplings. Additionally, the hot rolling equipment will be upgraded and modified to allow the use of round billets, increasing its capacity to 720,000 tonnes of pipes per year.
