OMZ appoints Igor Sorochan as Director General

On 2 February OMZ’s Board of directors appointed Igor Pavlovich Sorochan its General Director effective from February 15.

Igor Sorochan was born in January 1954. He graduated from Leningrad Mechanical Institute specializing in aircraft engines. In 1977 he started working at the Leningrad Metal Plant (LMZ), has gone from engineer to lead mechanic. From 1986 to 1999 he worked as a chief engineer at LMZ’s production association and as a director of TAG factory. From 1999 to 2004 he worked as LMZ’s production director. Since 2004 Igor Sorochan was LMZ’s Director.

Igor Sorochan is a corresponding member of the St. Petersburg Engineering Academy.
