the festiveoccasionofNLMK’sdispatchinghalf a
millionth tonof steel slabs toVyksaSteelWorks in
October.
Thefirst testbatchof slabswasdispatched to
VyksaSteelWorks in July2012 soonafter theparties
hadarrivedat an initial agreement.TodayNLMK’s
monthly supplies toVyksa reach, on theaverage, 55kt
of slabs.Vyksa suppliesaccount fora significant share
in theNLMK’s total sales to the thirdparties. Since
thecommissioningof theHeavyPlatesMill-5000 till
September2013 some460ktofbroadflatproducts
wereproduced from the slabs.
OMK’sMill-5000wascommissioned inNovember
2011 for theproductionofbroadplates tobe further
used for theproductionofbigdiameterpipes.The
total investments in theproject reached45bn rubles
whichmakes itoneof thebiggestprojects in the
historyof thepost-soviet steel industry.Theproject
